Zitec becomes the first IT company in Romania to be B Corp certified. ✊

The certification is awarded after the B Impact Assessment, a rigorous, international and independently audited evaluation. It looks at how a company supports its employees, contributes to the community, protects the environment and governs itself.

"We built Zitec on a foundation of responsibility and business ethics, reflecting our commitment to making thoughtful decisions every day: from the projects we take on, to the clients we choose to work with." says Simona Lapusan, our Co-CEO and Co-founder.

The movement spans over 10,700 Certified B Corporations across 104 countries and 162 industries, collectively employing more than one million people. Zitec joins as the first Romanian IT company in that network, with the help of Better Business Alliance and Corina Radu.

And that’s what Zitec Tribes is about, a zero-pressure space we designed for our colleagues to try things, learn, and have fun. Yesterday it was the Photography Tribe’s turn 📸

We had a hands-on phone photography workshop where we played with light, composition, and realized how much you can do with just a phone. But the best part was seeing everyone genuinely supporting each other’s photos, a nice mirror of how we also work together every day.

The live auctions have officially started at eLicitațiiANAF. 👇

Until last year, buying a state-confiscated asset in Romania meant a trip to the ANAF office, paper forms, and scanning fragmented announcements across the press and local websites.

Now, the same process happens from your phone or laptop. You log in with your SPV account, browse all available assets nationwide, upload your documents online, pay the participation fee by card, and place your bid in real time, anonymously, on equal footing with every other participant.

So far, eLicitațiiANAF recorded 705,000 unique users and 48.5 million page views. ANAF and the Ministry of Finance have published 1,300 auctions, of which 86 reached the active bidding phase. 💡

Among the first high-value transactions:

👉 A three-room apartment in central Bucharest received a bid at the starting price of 1.66 million lei
👉 A Swiss platinum watch attracted a bid at its starting price of 84,700 lei

For anyone who has wondered what real reform in tax administration actually looks like, this is a prime example. eLicitațiiANAF is the first integrated digital platform in Romania for the auctioning of state assets.

We built it alongside the Ministerul Finanţelor and Agenția Națională de Administrare Fiscală.

And yes, there are still features we are refining and feedback we are actively collecting.

But the most important part is that it contributes to a more digitalized country and offers a simpler process for acquiring state-seized goods, all while contributing to the national economy, fairly and transparently. ✊

Hey there! If you didn't get your daily dose of good news, keep on reading. 😀

A year after the idea first came out, Claudiu Bogdan's hackathon concept turned into a system tracking 13,000 public institutions to bring more transparency into decisions, budgets, and initiatives impacting civic societies.

What's more, Claudiu even quit his job to focus on the platform called transparenta.eu, and we think that his dedication is worth celebrating!

The platform's mission is to transform complex records into accessible public information. It now serves thousands of users who seek a clear understanding of local budgets and administrative decisions. We've heard that since this solution was implemented, some very productive public discussions have emerged.

Various local governments already integrate these data layers directly into their websites to share financial records with the community.

Now, that's what we call great news. 👏

Always happy to support technology serving as an engine of a healthy society. Last year, when we sponsored this hackathon, also supported by Ethical Media Production Alliance (EMPA), the concept was just an idea on paper.

Watching it grow into an essential civic tool is such a great reminder of why engineering for impact remains our priority! 💙

Between January and October 2025, one industry generated over 550,000 AI-driven website visits in our cross-industry analysis. Eight times more than the next sector. 👀

It was Retail.

How do we know? Because we tracked 150 websites from 16 major industries to see how ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other AI platforms impact digital discovery (across Romania).

Still, this shift is global, and it applies across industries.

Capgemini's research on 10,000 users also shows it. One-third of consumers spend more than an hour on AI tools every day.

Interactions with AI tools have nearly doubled since 2023. Plus, 7 in 10 Gen Z are actively exploring AI tools.

What this means for your brand discovery is:

👉 AI systems synthesize, compare, and recommend products before a user clicks on any website.

👉 The shortlist is formed in the AI response. For example, if your product pages contain vague descriptions, inconsistent specs, or unstructured text blocks, they are difficult for AI to extract and include.

👉 Brands with technical specifications and structured content are performing disproportionately well in AI-driven discovery.

There was no complex social media strategy behind this. When it comes to things that matter to us, we don't think about going viral, we focus less on visibility and more on making a difference.

If you know us, you know that civism is deeply embedded in our DNA and is one of our core CSR pillars. So when the first round of the presidential elections saw a turnout of just 53.2%, simply watching from the sidelines wasn’t an option.

We just wanted to remind people that a choice made by half a country is only half a choice and that’s how “53.2% nu e destul” was born. No agency. Zero media budget. Just a small in-house team with a simple, easy-to-understand idea that turned into a movement:

👉 60+ amazing brands stepped up and joined us.
👉 The message generated hundreds of thousands of views and massive organic engagement.
👉 The most important part? In the second round, turnout spiked to 64.7%. While it’s definitely not entirely our merit, we like to believe we played our part in the collective wake-up call our society needed.

Really happy to see this initiative win 🥉 3rd Place at the Romanian Sustainability & CSR Awards (Special Projects). Big thank you to everyone who carried the message forward. Showing up matters!
