What does it actually take to build and deploy infrastructure in the cloud?

Our Summer Practice students started finding out this week, with the help of our experienced colleagues, ๐Œ๐ข๐ก๐š๐ข ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐š๐ญ & ๐Œ๐ข๐ซ๐œ๐ž๐š ๐๐š๐ฅ๐๐ž๐š. A big thank you to both of them for sharing their knowledge and guiding the students throughout the workshop! ๐Ÿ‘

They went beyond cloud fundamentals and explored the building blocks behind modern IT environments, and, most importantly, how they connect in practice.

Hereโ€™s what they got to work with:

- Cloud providers: AWS and Azure
- Identity providers: Entra ID
- Cloud networking: VPN, DNS, public vs. private networks
- Pipelines & Infrastructure as Code: building a pipeline and using it to deploy infrastructure
- Jenkins: getting practical experience with deploying a CI/CD tool

The real challenge was connecting the dots and understanding how these technologies work together.

Another week of Summer Practice = another skill unlocked! ๐Ÿ”“

This week, our students jumped into the world of databases. ๐Ÿ—„๏ธ๐Ÿ’ป

They learned how data gets organized, connected, and used behind the scenes, and, of course, asked lots of questions along the way. Because thatโ€™s what learning in tech is all about: getting curious, trying things out, and sometimes breaking a few things before figuring them out. ๐Ÿ˜„

Last week, we had some special visitors. ๐Ÿ˜Š High school students from across Romania stopped by Haufe Group while exploring what life in Timiศ™oara could look like as future students.

Together with our Community Manager, Marilena Velciov, they got to know Haufe Group through conversations, questions, and stories from behind the scenes. They met our developers, explored the office, discovered our gaming room (an instant favorite ๐ŸŽฎ), and got a closer look at what a day in a tech company can actually feel like.

A big thank you to Universitatea de Vest din Timiศ™oara, Facultatea de Informatica and OSUT for bringing everyone together.

Together with our colleague, Bianca Barbusiu, our students explored exactly that through practical scenarios, open discussions, and plenty of questions (the best kind, if you ask us ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Another week, another step closer to real projects.
