Welcoming back employees with a prepared return plan will help you retain them, especially in these competitive times of hiring.

Many of us have and still work from home, that's why it can be difficult when coming back to the office job. Mixed feelings occur amongst employees about changing job location and atmosphere.

Many got used to virtual interaction with others and remote jobs during the pandemics, so everyone will need to readapt to previous work styles again. Some prefer remote work over office work, so make your employees feel comfortable when returning and remind them about the good sides of office work.

1. Customized return plan 📃

In case you have more than one office, it is good to consider preparing different return plans, based on people that work there and the location they are based in.

If everyone comes back to the office on the same exact day, leave some sort of a treat of employee desks to lift their collective spirit. Create a cheerful and positive office experience on their first day.

One to one occasional meetings where employees' well-being is checked by addressing the issues that trigger burnout. Managers should adjust workload by creating realistic expectations and focusing on the root of the problem by balancing employee effort and time to recover.

Demonstrate to your employees that you are taking seriously what worries or stresses them the most and let them share it with you. We thought it would be nice to share some sources where freelancers can earn experience and at the same time earn money.

Maybe some of the sources you are already aware of, but we hope someone will find it helpful in their career journey.

1) Djinni.co
A website where you can share your full description of your job and skills will allow employers to contact you for short or long-term projects.

2) Upwork.com
So far, the best website we think for different types of freelancers to use. You advertise yourself as a freelancer, demonstrating what you are capable of, and setting your own minimum price per hour. Customers see your projects history and feedback. Ability to record introduction video to present
yourself visible to everyone. Easy to communicate, navigate and a great opportunity for both employers and freelancers.

3) LinkedIn
Of course, how could we not mention LinkedIn? We use a sales navigator combined with other sources, where we look for and hire developers. However, Sales Navigator will be more beneficial if one thing will be improved. All freelancers that seek a job or are still open to new opportunities while having a job should mention it somewhere on their profile (open to work or open to new opportunities). The additional helpful thing would be adding 'open to work' to the profile photo. That way for recruiters it will be easier to find you and get in touch with you.

4) Glassdoor.com + Indeed.com
Glassdoor is an American website where current and former employees anonymously review companies. Indeed is collaborating with Glassdoor, so they are interlinked. Great sources to create your profile there and check it from time to time for updates and offers.

So far, these are the best sources that allow you not to pay for it and still be successful in finding a job or a candidate.

An organisation should be transparent so employees would know clarity in their role and see a clear career path in the future in the organization.

Regular feedback is in demand for young professionals. Instead of annual reviews, they prefer monthly discussions and honest feedback to work on their development.

It's hard to make decisions when you don't know much about your employees.
