Whats the difference? EPR vs ESG ♻️🌍
As businesses ramp up their sustainability strategies, it’s important to know the distinction between two essential but often confused terms: EPR and ESG.
💡 EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) is all about waste accountability. Under EPR, producers are legally or voluntarily required to take responsibility for the products and packaging they put into the world—through collection, recycling, and proper disposal. EPR focuses on closing the loop in the life cycle of materials, ensuring that what’s produced is also properly managed.
💡 ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) is a big-picture framework for how a company operates. ESG scores look at environmental impact (including but not limited to waste), social responsibility, and governance practices. It’s how investors, consumers, and regulators measure if a brand is truly committed to ethical, sustainable, and transparent business—not just ticking boxes.
At Autify Network, we believe real progress happens when responsibility is not just reported, but recorded and verified. By bringing EPR credits and ESG data on-chain, we’re helping build a world where every impact, big or small—is transparent, trusted, and truly meaningful.
