What Exactly is ECG? Does ECG mean Extended or Expanded Color Gamut? Let’s be clear – Extended should be used for XCMYK, because we are extending the gamut of the same ink set, whereas CMYKOGV is an Expanded ink set with additional inks. Achieving a near neutral, in conjunction with color management, will give designers, customers, and printers a common expectation whether viewing on a monitor, a contract proof, or a printed sheet in different facilities around the globe.
