Smudge Pot Creative (SPC) is an award-winning graphic design studio based in Denver, Colorado. We work with clients both large and small across the United States and specialize in all things design including creating custom graphics for print, web, and social sharing.

SPC is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team.

This fast-paced position requires someone who is a self-starter, quick learner, and can handle multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidate will know the difference between teal and turquoise, cringes when they see Comic Sans, and judges a restaurant based on their menu design.

The Junior Graphic Designer will work remotely from the home office or workspace of their choice, ideally located in or around the Denver area in order to facilitate future in-person meetings.

WHAT YOU DO
- Design, edit, and produce graphics for print and web
- Prepare final production ready files for both print and web
- Maintain graphic standards and brand integrity
- Work from concept to completion on multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage your own time and keep track of hours per project

WHAT YOU NEED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- A website or online portfolio of design samples/past projects
- Strong understanding of design principles (typography, composition,
proportion, patterning, color theory, photo art direction, etc.)
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to present and defend your thought process
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Familiarity with Canva is a plus
- Experience with custom illustration and logo design is a plus
- Strong organization skills
- Superb attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented for information accuracy on all projects
- Ability to work on multiple production projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in deadline-oriented and fast-paced environment
