Ever built a fourth training module for a problem that three modules already didn't fix? 😅

Same. And here's what I've learned in the field: if the same issue keeps happening for the same reason, the fix probably isn't more content. It's something structural, usually a level or two above where the training lives.

Try naming the pattern before building the next module. It changes the whole conversation.

Redundant training isn't a competence problem. It's a visibility problem. 👀

If two teams in your org built the same onboarding without knowing it, nobody did anything wrong. There just wasn't anyone whose job it was to see the whole picture.

Next time you spot overlap like this, name it out loud instead of quietly fixing your corner of it. That's how the pattern actually gets solved.

 One thing that might take a little extra effort, but really helps both your facilitators and your learners is adding corresponding workbook pages to your slide deck. It helps the facilitator reference the page number for the learners and it helps the learners stay on track, especially when you’re teaching a virtual instructor led training. I typically do all of my decks and workbooks in Canva.

This is exactly what we’ve been talking about the last couple of weeks and I’ve got a couple of blogs to go, but we have to be speaking the language of business not L and D if we want to persuade the organization in the area of learning and development and tools. We have to use business language And have more strategic conversations.

You can have the title and still not have the room. 👀

Being the L&D lead doesn’t automatically mean you’re at the table when strategy gets decided.

You can be the most senior L&D person at your company and still hear about a reorg the same way everyone else does. After it’s already happened.

That’s not a leadership failure. It’s a structural gap.
