A while back, I wrote about how to host a website for free using GitHub Pages. It’s an incredible tool for anyone looking to get a site online without spending a dime. But recently, I came across an article highlighting Cloudflare Pages, and I realized there’s even more to share on the topic.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭
The standout feature of Cloudflare Pages? 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐡—for free. This is 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞! Bandwidth limits can sneak up on you, especially if your site starts gaining traction.

With most free hosting platforms (like GitHub Pages or Netlify), you’re typically capped at around 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐆𝐁 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡. That’s generous, but not infinite. Cloudflare essentially says, “𝐆𝐨 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭—𝐰𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝.”

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭
When I talked about GitHub Pages in my earlier post, I highlighted its ease of use and reliability—and all of that still holds true. But now, I’d say that 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 as a competitive option. If bandwidth is a concern or you just like the idea of having a backup hosting platform, Cloudflare is worth exploring.

This got me thinking about another angle I wanted to share: using 𝐀𝐈 to create custom, bespoke static websites.

One-off HTML sites hosted on platforms like Netlify or Cloudflare can be incredibly powerful for personal projects or even small businesses.

Are you looking to create and maintain a personal website using only your iPad? While it may seem like a daunting task, there are actually several tools available that can help you get the job done.

First and foremost, there are website building and editing apps that can be downloaded from the App Store. Some popular options include Wix, Weebly and Squarespace. These apps allow you to design and edit your website using a touch interface, and include pre-designed templates and drag-and-drop functionality to make the process as easy as possible.

Another great tool for maintaining your website on an iPad, if you're using a Wordpress site, is the Wordpress app for iOS. This app allows you to update and manage the content on your website, including adding new pages, editing existing ones, and uploading images and videos. It also provides analytics and other features to monitor your website's traffic and performance. (WordPress is an open-source platform that enables users to easily create and manage a website, blog or app, it is one of the most widely used CMS in the world.)

It's worth noting that while it is possible to create and maintain a website using only an iPad, it may be more limited and difficult than using a traditional computer. However, with the right tools and a little bit of patience, you can definitely make it happen!
