I've been building our home on a screen for months. Scrolling, saving, adding to cart at 1am. So when Wayfair opened an actual store here in Atlanta, I needed to go feel everything in person.

And honestly? It exceeded expectations. The scale of it, the styling, the fact that I could sit in the chair I've been eyeing for weeks and know it was the one.

This is where I've been sourcing most of our home since we moved in last year, so walking through felt less like shopping and more like seeing the vision come together.

Let the wedding planning begin ! 💍

After a month and a half a post-engagement bliss and tons a traveling, J and I are finally sitting down to begin planning our wedding and receptions and it still kinda feels surreal.

If I’ve come to realize anything over the last few weeks is that everything I thought was a big or important deal actually isn’t. Don’t get me wrong, some things are stressing me out… like deciding where in the world we’re going to tie the knot, but I’ve decided to worry about the things I can handle or manage and let the professionals do the rest.

At the end of the day, nothing else really matters except that the love of my life and I get to do life together 🩷

It’s only almost May and somehow I’ve already been to Mexico, Italy, all over the U.S., around Atlanta (per usual), Mexico City, Chile… hosted 20+ events, got engaged… and now I have my biggest event tonight welcoming 150+ of Atlanta’s best and brightest for

But at the same time… this is what it looks like when your life is centered around community

And I really wouldn’t have it any other way 💙

Earlier this year I said I wanted more speaking opportunities… and then reality hit me.

No one’s going to ask you to speak if they’ve never heard you speak.

And honestly? No one really cares what you want… they care about what you’ve earned, what you’ve learned, and what you’re willing to share.

It’s not just about putting yourself out there. It’s about saying something people actually want to hear. For me, that looks like building community, how to walk into a room and talk to people, and yes… a little bridal content too.

But more than anything, people want real perspective. What’s worked, what hasn’t, and what I’ve learned along the way.

I finally have the time in May to lean into that and show up the way I’ve been saying I would.

We’ll see where it takes me 🤍

The worst event I ever hosted gave me one of the best people I’ve ever known. A rainy night in Atlanta, 5 people showed up out of 50… and one of them changed my whole life. Never let a “failed” moment fool you… Sometimes God empties the room on purpose.

Guess who had their first international speaking opportunity this week with standing room only 🥹✈️ Still processing it honestly…

I got to share something I’ve believed for a long time but now have the language for: IRL is a cheat code.

We spend so much time trying to build our careers behind screens… applying, messaging, posting, waiting. And yes, that matters. But the moments that actually change things usually happen in rooms. In conversations. In community.

This talk was all about why events matter more than we think, both in person and virtual. Because it’s not just about showing up… it’s about being seen, building real relationships, and putting yourself in spaces where opportunity can actually find you.

Every job, partnership, opportunity I’ve had? It’s been tied back to people. And people don’t come from algorithms… they come from community.

Grateful for the room, the conversations, to represent torcdotdev, and for the reminder that stepping outside your comfort zone will take you further than waiting for the right moment or opportunity ever will.
