It’s been about a year since I was freaking out that my book/oracle deck wouldn’t be delivered in time for the fall market (where I had planned to not only vend, but do a workshop surrounding oracle card reading). ICYMI, I:
• wrote, designed, self-published, sourced production for a teeny tiny book about aspects of spiritualism (in an effort to make it all more accessible) 👻 shout out to for connecting me with a spectacular editor (and formatting my e-book that I still need to put out…😅)
• illustrated, designed, branded, sourced production, BIRTHED my passion project: a 44-card oracle deck with no guide book (you don’t need my personal interpretations), at a size/weight similar to typical tarot cards (easy to shuffle and work with)

It turned out for the best because I was able to deliver pre-orders (did I mention I self funded this endeavor? pre-orders helped put a dent in that!) in time for the holidays. AND I got to speak at earlier this year about my process creating this beast of a project.

What’s the saying? A door closes and a window opens? It all worked out for the best. 💘

Meet Draw to Action, a coloring book featuring original designs from (30) Philadelphia-based artists to raise funds for our city's most underserved communities. 100% of proceeds from sales will be donated to (15) local non-profit and grassroots social impact organizations which focus on a variety of causes, from mental health advocacy, to social justice reform, to transgender rights.

While the project's primary goal is to raise money for the (15) partner organizations, a secondary goal is provide a fun, creative outlet and a bit of art-therapy to all Philadelphians facing isolation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NAMI Philadelphia is just one of the 15 incredible organizations I’d like to highlight. If you know me, you know I take mental health very seriously; from experiencing suicidal tendencies myself to holding loved ones as they lay their own loss to rest. Please know, you are not alone.
