With over 20 years of industry experience, Emily is a recognized graphic designer. Her unique conceptual ability and sophisticated typography skills have enabled her clients to maintain strong images in today’s complex business environment. Emily holds a Master’s Degree in publications design from the University of Baltimore, a Bachelor’s Degree in political science from Franklin and Marshall College and a Certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in Architecture. She has been a teacher at the Maryland Institute of Art (MICA) in Baltimore and has served on the board of the Baltimore chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA)

Katya Ilina is one of the shortlisted photographers in this year's Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, for her portrait of David, which looks at body positivity in masculinity. Katya joins Pierre-Elie de Pibrac and David Prichard who are also in the running for the prestigious photography awards, celebrating its 14th anniversary.

Herman Miller Group, Knoll, Adobe, Dropbox, GAP, Pentagram, Wolf Olins, and others have joined forces to form the Diversity in Design Collaborative (DID) whose goal is to improve the representation of Black creatives in design by increasing career opportunities and focusing on the education pipeline. “In our early stages of research on how to best address the underrepresentation of Black designers, it was immediately clear that we could not make substantial and lasting change alone,” says the CEO of Herman Miller Group. Cleveland’s major league ball club has finally dropped the “I word”, announcing a name change from the Indians to the Guardians. They unveiled the new logo and name with a campaign video voiced by Tom Hanks and soundtracked by The Black Keys.
