Big one to celebrate this year! Be Pro Be Proud is turning 10! For a whole decade, using hands-on simulators and Meta Quest headsets to bring technical careers to life, they've been showing students that a career in the skilled trades is something to be proud of, and we couldn't agree more. To mark the milestone, we’re teaming with BPBP for ten special events across our data center communities. Starting with the Be Pro Be Proud National Conference!

We were honored to be part of a conversation about how training, technology, and real career exposure come together to open doors for people in the communities we live and work in. We were happy to speak to a full house of 100+ workforce development and education leaders, employers, and policy makers from 15+ states! πŸ”§βš‘πŸ—οΈ

πŸ—οΈ America's Workforce Academy β€” the largest private-sector skilled trades commitment in American history: paid training that leads to an industry-recognized credential and a guaranteed job for graduates.

πŸ₯½ AI Glasses Impact Grants β€” Wearable technology delivering guided workflows and real-time expert access on the job site

πŸŽ“ Be Pro Be Proud β€” Hands-on career exploration in skilled trades through immersive Mobile Workshop experiences

Our BPBP partnership has engaged ~70,000 students to date through statewide support in Tennessee, New Mexico, and Texas and brought the program to data center communities in Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio. More events kick off this fall right here in our community. Stay tuned for more details! For now, here's some photo highlights from our partnership.

Special thanks Associated Builders and Contractors - Greater Tennessee, ABC National and Embarcadero Technologies for joining us for the panel discussion and to all of our partners at Be Pro Be Proud New Mexico, Be Pro Be Proud NC, Be Pro Be Proud Tennessee, and TEXO, The Construction Association for their continued leadership.

We're proud to invest in the people who build America's future.

Big news for Dodge County students! πŸŽ’

We've teamed up with CESA 6 to bring Inspire Wisconsin programming to local classrooms, at no cost to the school districts. Inspire WI helps students by connecting them with local employers, helping them explore career paths, and building the skills they need for life after high school.

A huge thank you to our incredible community and education partners. Here's to a great new school year, Dodge County! πŸ’™

Big news in clean energy β˜€οΈπŸ”‹

Last week, Meta announced two partnerships pushing the boundaries of what's possible for powering AI infrastructure.

We're working with Overview Energy to bring solar power from space to Earthβ€”satellites collecting sunlight around the clock and beaming it to solar farms on the ground. And we're partnering with Noon Energy on ultra-long-duration storage that can hold clean energy for days, not just hours.

These are the kinds of investments that help strengthen the grid and support reliable power for our data center operations here and across the country.

Earlier this month, it was an honor to attend and celebrate local impact-makers on April 15th at the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation Celebration of Giving Luncheon and Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center Annual Awards Gala!

Both events brought together hundreds of community members to celebrate those who make the City of Beaver Dam a truly special place to call home. Thank you to the teams at both Bayside Supper Club and Beaver Dam Country Club for their incredible food and hospitality, and congratulations to all of this year’s winners for the incredible work you do each and every day!

🌎🧊 April is Earth month β€” and we're proud to share a closer look at the water restoration work happening in Los Lunas.

Water is a shared and vital resource β€” and at Meta, our goal is to become water positive in 2030. That means restoring more water than we consume in our operations, while partnering with local communities to boost supply, enhance quality, and protect ecosystems.

In this video, our Water Program leads share what drives this work β€” and how projects near the Rio Grande are helping move toward that goal.

We're excited to share a new opportunity for people across the United States. πŸŽ‰

Meta has partnered with CBRE to launch LevelUp Fiber Technician Pathway β€” a free, four-week training program that prepares people for high-demand fiber technician careers operated by CBRE. No prior experience is required.

Whether you're a recent graduate, exploring a career change, or looking for a pathway into the skilled trades β€” this program is built for you.

Last week, for Women in Construction Week, we were proud to celebrate the incredible women building the future at Beaver Dam Data Center! From inspiring daily speakers at bench and stretch, to a special site tour with the Mortenson Women of Milwaukee group, our team came together to honor the many paths women take in construction. We also hosted a jobsite lunch featuring gift bags from local women-owned vendors and wrapped up the week with a fundraiser for PAVE, our local women’s shelter. Thank you to everyone who joined us in supporting a more inclusive industry!

Habitat Restoration Efforts are underway at the Beaver Dam Data Center!

In the coming weeks, residents and passersby may notice smoke intermittently from a carefully planned prescribed burn on the southwest corner of the site. This is the first step in restoring natural habitats on the site and in the spring we will begin expanding this prairie northward toward County Road A. The prescribed burn supports our previously announced efforts and state glacial habitat restoration goals to expand availability of the wonderful regional wildlife habitats, such as the Robbins Shorebird Sanctuary and Horicon Marsh.

Prescribed burning is a common management tool used by farmers and habitat managers alike to promote ecosystem health – on our land, we expect it to clear thatch, grasses, and crop residue to release native meadow grasses and pollinator species from nonnative competition while recycling nutrients, building soil, controlling pests, and reducing risk of wildfire.

This work has been carefully planned and will be performed by licensed burn professionals, only if perfect climate conditions are observed. We are engaging closely with our critical partners, including the City of Beaver Dam, Beaver Dam Fire Department, Dodge County, and adjacent landowners.

🌱 Habitat restoration is underway at the Beaver Dam Data Center! In the next weeks our contractor Wondra Construction will begin removing invasive trees and shrubs β€” focusing on aggressive, nonnative buckthorn plants from wetlands and hedgerows. Restoration can get messy, but it’s a necessary step for long-term habitat success.

β˜€οΈ How will this help? In the years to come, this work will open up space and sunlight, and restoration efforts will create a useful greenspace for local residents – but also for birds, native pollinators, and other wildlife.

Meta designs our data center campuses to minimize our impacts to sensitive ecosystems, and once construction activities start to wrap up, we restore landscapes to reflect local and regional ecology.
