Brigand Arms is a fi****ms accessories company that specializes in lightweight, mostly carbon fiber parts, for AR-15 rifles. Brigand is the standard in the AR-15 world for high end light weight accessories. We are located in the Deft Dynamics Venture Studio in the Pepper Place area of Lakeview in Birmingham, Alabama.

Manufacturing Technician – Brigand Arms

Are you looking for a small, tightly integrated team where everyone brings a respected skillset to the discussion? We are looking for a talented Technician who brings a detailed and process oriented personality to the team. This is a full time position, and may also involve assembling electronic components. This position will work directly for our Director of Operations, Lisa Whitman.

What You Will Gain

Knowledge and skills from a hard working startup company that has pioneered innovative ideas in multiple industries. Detailed and proprietary information related to composites and composites manufacturing. Insight into electronics manufacturing, design, and testing.

Your Responsibilities

Your contributions to this team will include

• Operating carbon fiber weaving machinery
• Cleaning carbon fiber parts in an ultrasonic cleaner
• Prepping and cleaning aluminum parts to bond to the carbon fiber components
• Bonding Carbon Fiber and aluminum parts with precision
• Part time electronics manufacturing and assembly
• Electronics testing and repair
• Packaging orders for shipment
• Office and warehouse cleaning

Requirements
• Detailed oriented nature
• Enthusiasm for getting the job done right
• Hands on work experience in manufacturing, automotive, or other industries
• Time management skills
• Must be willing to sign a non-compete and confidentiality agreement

Nice to Have
• Composites experience (carbon fiber, fiber glass, etc)
• High school diploma and/ or College Degree

Details
• Full time: 8am- 5pm, Monday – Friday
• Health insurance and generous paid time off package
• $16.00/ hour starting pay
