Big one to celebrate this year! Be Pro Be Proud is turning 10! For a whole decade, using hands-on simulators and Meta Quest headsets to bring technical careers to life, they've been showing students that a career in the skilled trades is something to be proud of, and we couldn't agree more. To mark the milestone, we’re teaming with BPBP for ten special events across our data center communities. Starting with the Be Pro Be Proud National Conference!

We were honored to be part of a conversation about how training, technology, and real career exposure come together to open doors for people in the communities we live and work in. We were happy to speak to a full house of 100+ workforce development and education leaders, employers, and policy makers from 15+ states! 🔧⚡🏗️

🏗️ America's Workforce Academy — the largest private-sector skilled trades commitment in American history: paid training that leads to an industry-recognized credential and a guaranteed job for graduates.

🥽 AI Glasses Impact Grants — Wearable technology delivering guided workflows and real-time expert access on the job site

🎓 Be Pro Be Proud — Hands-on career exploration in skilled trades through immersive Mobile Workshop experiences

Our BPBP partnership has engaged ~70,000 students to date through statewide support in Tennessee, New Mexico, and Texas and brought the program to data center communities in Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio. Meta just announced our AI Glasses Impact Grant recipients — nearly $2 million for 30+ organizations across 18 states using Meta AI glasses to make a real difference. One is right here in Northwest Ohio.

BESNxCommunity is integrating Meta AI glasses into youth STEM programming — helping underserved students move from consuming AI to creating with it, while building real skills in AI, game development, and workforce readiness.

Meta just launched America's Workforce Academy right here in Ohio, the largest private-sector commitment to the skilled trades in American history. This cost-free program supports all participants while they learn. No experience needed. It's a $115 million first year investment in real career paths in skilled trades and the workers building AI infrastructure. Every graduate will be guaranteed a job on a Meta partner’s construction site.

Big news in clean energy ☀️🔋

Meta announced two partnerships pushing the boundaries of what's possible for powering AI infrastructure.

We're working with Overview Energy to bring solar power from space to Earth—satellites collecting sunlight around the clock and beaming it to solar farms on the ground. And we're partnering with Noon Energy on ultra-long-duration storage that can hold clean energy for days, not just hours.

These are the kinds of investments that help strengthen the grid and support reliable power for our data center operations here and across the country.

Last week, we celebrated our 2026 Meta Data Center Community Action Grant recipients at the Bowling Green Data Center. It was a joy to bring together this year’s grant recipients, community partners, Meta team members, and local leaders!

Through our Data Center Community Action Grants program, Meta provides funding for nonprofits and schools addressing critical community needs by putting technology to use for community benefit, enabling people to build strong, sustainable communities, and improving local STEAM education to support the long-term vitality of Wood County. Learn more about this year’s projects:

Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio: To empower students with STEAM opportunities, BGMS will launch drone and robotics labs, providing hands-on training in engineering and AI.

Bowling Green Recycling Inc.: To maintain sustainable recycling access, BGRC will use funding to ensure 24/7 recycling services and long-term facility upkeep for the community.

Bowling Green State University: To empower educators, BGSU will launch a program supporting faculty in integrating AI and VR into teaching for enhanced student engagement and digital literacy.

Eastwood High School: To boost STEAM education, Eastwood High will create digital arts and AR exhibits highlighting Wood County landmarks through student-led projects.

Eastwood Local Schools: To expand robotics access and STEM skills, Eastwood will introduce robotics to younger students and upgrade engineering tools, building a sustainable STEM pipeline.

Downtown Bowling Green SID: To create a modern mixed-use hub, Four Corners Center will redevelop a downtown property, expanding office, meeting and housing capacity with advanced technology.

Otsego Local School District: To enhance student engagement and collaboration, Otsego will install Clevertouch interactive panels, transforming classrooms into dynamic, technology-driven learning environments.

Perrysburg Schools Foundation: To build AI literacy, Perrysburg will train educators and students in safe, practical AI skills through workshops and curriculum integration.

The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio: To empower people with vision loss, The Sight Center will provide assistive technology training, increasing digital accessibility and independence.

Washington Township Fire Department - Tontogany: To modernize fire operations, the department will equip firefighters with iPads for improved reporting, training and emergency response.

Wood County Educational Service Center: To unite agriculture, technology, AI, and learning, the AgriCaRe Education Station will engage students in sustainable food education through hands-on growing and community service.
