Try this for one day. It takes five minutes and it's kind of eye-opening.

Every time you do a task that takes more than ten minutes, jot it down. At the end of the day, go through your list and mark each one:

Only I can do this.
Someone else could do this.
A system could do this.

Everything in that last group, and a lot of the middle group, is something you could probably automate. That little list is basically your roadmap.

Quick story about the name.

A sapper is a combat engineer. They're the ones who go in first and clear the obstacles so everybody else can move through safely. Build the bridge, clear the path, get people where they need to go.

That's honestly how I think about this work now. Every business has obstacles. Clunky systems, busywork, tech that fights you more than it helps. My job is to clear that stuff out of the way so you can keep moving.

Let me clear up a few things about AI, because I hear the same worries all the time.

"It's going to replace my employees." Honestly, no. It takes the boring, repetitive stuff off their plate so they can do the work that actually matters.

"It's too expensive for a business my size." It's usually cheaper than people expect. A lot of it costs less than a part-time hire.

"It's too complicated for me." That part's my job, not yours. You don't need to know how the engine works to drive the car.

Here's something you can do this afternoon that'll save you time, and it needs zero tech skills.

Think about the emails you send over and over. Appointment confirmations, your pricing reply, the "thanks for reaching out" note. Save each one as a template in your email app. Most email apps let you drop them in with a click or two.

Small thing, but it adds up to real time back every week.
