Friday night was a complete bust in Whitmore Lake as 90% chance of rain showers convinced the customer to cancel the event. A nice rebound however Saturday night as STR performed a well attended family movie night in the Grand Rapids area. A quanit, and picturesque community park. Zootopia-2 on the 18 ft screen served as the main attraction!

Although Saturday night was a complete washout on the east side of the state, Comstock Park was picture perfect for a late summer community movie night. Special thanks to Brittany @ Westgate Park – Bellabay Realty for booking STR to perform this 2nd annual event!

There will be "Goonies" on the Whitmore Lake waterfront tonight! My suggestion, swing by the Whitmore Lake Tavern for a casual Friday night dinner & cocktail, then walk across the street w/ your lawn chair and blanket for a free outdoor movie! Looks like rain in the forecast for all day Saturday & Sunday, so this may be your only chance for a fun, family centric outdoor weekend event!

Last week's outdoor movie night in Dearborn was attended by over 1,000 people according to the city. STR performs all "Movies in the Park" performances for Dearborn as well as Camp Dearborn in Milford. The next Dearborn City event is scheduled for August 27.

A wise musician once said. "don't be sad, because 2 out of 3 aint bad". So it went this past week as the brisk & wet weather forced one reschedule on a back-2-back-2-back movie night event schedule. Although a little windy & chilly in the evening, it turned out to be a pleasant movie night under the stars in Milford & Whitmore Lake. The STR-14 screen was featured and a great program for crowd sizes in the 100 people or less range. A great bargain too for around $500. Summer solstice is here and hopefully better weather is in the forecast!
