Emails from Squarespace about *aggressive* price hikes have you feeling the urge to run? I totally understand! Before you take off, let’s go through some things to know because it’s not quite as simple as just “leaving and going somewhere else”

1) Leaving will cost you money, and possible a substantial amount of money. You’ve gotta decide if that cost is worth it!
2) You can’t just copy and paste your entire Squarespace website into a new platform. It’ll take some time, energy, and cost to rebuild elsewhere.
3) Your links might break and if so, you’ll need to do some work to redirect them. 5 page site, no biggie. Tons of blog posts, products, or photo galleries…that’s a big undertaking.
4) There will be downtime on your site. It might not be long but if you’re about to launch a new service offering or be a keynote speaker at an event, you need to time it right.
5) Not all platforms/web builders are created equal or right for your business.
6) BONUS: Your SEO will likely be affected, it might be significant or it might be a small blip but it will be affected.

Ultimately, it’s your business and your money to decide what’s right for you. I just want you to be able to make an informed decision. Thanks for watching, I know it’s a long one! 🤪

A little peek behind the curtain on my approach to icons (I usually refer to them as submarks).
👉🏻 They are designed to be used when space is a premium such as your social profile photo, as stickers for your brand, or to support the usage of your primary logo.
👉🏻 They shouldn't be too on the nose — like a hanger for a clothing boutique or a knife and fork for a restaurant.
👉🏻 They should be unique to your brand and fit well within your brand identity family.
👉🏻 They should be easily identifiable at scale and stand out from others in your industry.
👉🏻 They are a great opportunity to show off some personality! Maybe it's a character or helps tell the story of your brand.

Nothing quite like the feeling of coming across a stunning color palette in the wild! Pulled from gorgeous Spanish tiles in front of my local library, this palette is a perfect mix of earthy and grounded while maintaining it's vibrant richness. It conveys warmth, stability, authenticity, and comfort.

A new bombshell has entered the villa ✨

Ariele came to me with a clear and defined brand vibe looking for a brand identity to match — something that was fun, bold, and culture-forward. One of our primary goals was for it to feel more visually like an entertainment and culture lifestyle brand rather than a service provider. This strategic visual shift helps appeal to her clients and fit in line with the kind of projects she specializes in. She wanted something with movement and texture that felt organic and authentic but not boho. For her color palette, she gravitated towards shades of rusty reds, punchy oranges, and rich greens. Trust me when I tell you her Pinterest board of inspo was 🔥!

I was brought all of those goals and her inspiration together to provide this complete logo suite, custom color palette, and brand icons that hit on what she needs now and will with with her seamlessly as her business grows!
