Business owner lesson of the day:

Please keep your logo files in a safe place and make sure you are using the same logo file of everything.

Just got asked to recreate a logo for vehicle graphics. Was provided a picture of a business card with a logo on it. Couldn't recreate from the business card image, so I went online to see if I could find a better image and did from the company page.

Now, the main image was the logo I was looking for.

The header has a completely different logo on it and the pinned post featured an employee with a totally different logo on their shirt.

I also know that the yard signs this company uses does not have their logo on it at all, just their name.

Logos are part of the key to brand cohesion - having too many variations and inconsistency will only confuse customers.

Well the Wolf has decided to take some time to go watch things in Beavercreek. Luckily, we found a stand in willing to help out in the mean time!

For those who haven't seen yet, Buc-ee's came to Ohio and is now suing a local Beavercreek business for "trademark infringement" because they dare to have a beaver for a logo.

We are all for supporting Trademark protections, but there is no way that a logical person would mistake the two.

We stand with our fellow Ohio small businesses!

A little bit of some updates from last year’s version for this pride month. Everyone will have to forgive for recycling, but it’s been a rough few weeks and my brain just wasn’t feeling overly creative.

One thing that has kept me going has been a small sign I picked up a while back. Be Bold, Be Italic, but never be Regular. This pride month we wish our fellow LGBTQ+ community Boldness, Vibrant Colors, and Warm hues of love and acceptance. ❤️💛💚💙💜

So the previous post announcing the closure of our office has been removed, as yet again another post I didn't think I would be needing to make so soon is taking its place.

This morning, my beloved mother and greatest cheerleader of operations for Howling passed at home with me by her side. I am grateful that she passed quickly and in no pain and at home.

Howling Print and Promo will be closed through May 18th (maybe a couple more days - I will see) while I recuperate and take some time for myself. We will also be closed Memorial Day weekend, as I have family coming into town and an adorable baby nephew to squeeze on for the first time.
