Good Morning, Folks!
We’re only a month away from the 2024 Heirs of Hope Annual Golf Tournament, and we still need sponsors and teams! If you’re interested in sponsoring, please let us know soon!
When we started the Heirs of Hope non-profit back in May of 2018, I really had no idea of the exact direction of the organization, or the impact it would have on our local community. In the blink of an eye, 5 years have passed, and the families and lives we have had the great honor of impacting have been one of the great blessings of this walk of life. In the past year, we have been able to:
Paid past due rent for multiple families with children battling cancer. The parents could not work steadily with all the medical appointments and hospitalizations.
Paid for funeral services for a family who tragically lost the life of their young special needs son.
Paid for dining room furniture and food for a family to have Thanksgiving dinner together. Their infant baby girl was discharged from the hospital with chronic issues and this was their last meal together.
Paid electric bill for a family with a child that had a dislodged trachea.
Bought and assembled Christmas gifts for three sisters (7, 11 & 13 years old) who tragically lost their mother without notice.
Paid electric bill for multiple families with children critically diagnosed and in the hospital.
Paid for funeral services for a family who lost their 10 year old child that passed away from brain and spinal cord cancer.
Paid insurance premium for a family with a child that had brain cancer and was not expected to live another 6 months.
Paid past due gas bill for a family with a child who is a Hospice/Palliative patient in and out of the hospital with spastic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, etc.
Paid for and delivered a P-Pod chair for a family with a child who is bed bound and total assist. She is trach/vent dependent. The P-Pod chair allows her to sit up during the day and get her out of her bed.
These are all tough things to read, but just a few examples of REAL ways you all have been involved in making a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters who are suffering from debilitating diseases. Your support is the ONLY way we can help these folks. What a fantastic mission our God has blessed us with, as we continue to help others in need while honoring them with the dignity they deserve! I want to Thank You all from the bottom of my heart. You are making a difference!
