A select group of children taking piano lessons with Judy, our HUBZone volunteer coordinator, delighted family and friends with their performances at the Summer Piano Recital on August 2. Their hard work and dedication were evident as they proudly showcased their musical talents.
Dressed in red, white, and blue to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the five young pianists performed a wonderful variety of selections, including folk, classical, sacred, and patriotic music. Each performance reflected the students' confidence, perseverance, and growth through months of practice, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Following the recital, an ice cream social brought everyone together to celebrate the children's accomplishments. Belmont employees Joy and Brenda happily served ice cream to the students and the family members and friends who came to support them. The gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to visit, celebrate, and recognize the hard work of these young musicians.
A special thank you to Judy for generously sharing her time, patience, and musical talents. Her encouragement and dedication have inspired these young musicians and helped them develop both their musical abilities and their confidence. Congratulations to all of the performers on a wonderful recital—it was a memorable event enjoyed by all!
