Over the course of six weeks these students each followed their own path, solving different problems, developing new skills and bringing their ideas to life. These paintings aren’t quite finished yet, but their progress is remarkable!

I love to be a part of the journey.

I’m so excited to learn of the recent sale of two paintings from my 'Poetry on Water' series. These works are less about documenting water and more about expressing its mood through paint. Paying attention to movement, atmosphere, memory, and the poetry of brushstrokes themselves.

🎨 A pair of student works in progress.
One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is watching a painting evolve over time. Each session reveals new possibilities, and each decision helps the artist find their way toward their finished piece. 🌱
These students are taking the summer off, so I may not get to see the final versions in person. But it has been a pleasure to watch these works develop and to be part of their creative journey.

I used to think becoming a better painter meant learning how to paint everything. What I’ve learned over the last 18 months is that it may actually mean learning what calls to you enough to keep returning to it.
I completed my mastery art program this week, and I’m leaving with a deeper sense of direction, curiosity, and trust in my own voice as an artist.
That feels worth celebrating. 🎉

A little collaboration project.
He built the simulator, and I painted the landscape around it.

This is mural project number eight for me. A little different from my usual paintings, but still part of the same creative life.
