π THANK YOU, CHICAGO! AI Unlocked Recap π
Yesterday's AI Unlocked seminar at the Avalon Branch Library was packed with hands-on AI skills β and we're still buzzing. Huge thanks to everyone who came out, and to our presenter Myrin New, founder of MyNew Technologies, for making AI feel practical instead of intimidating.
Here's a taste of what we covered:
π AI as your everyday assistant β analyzing food for diabetes/hypertension-friendly choices, building recipes from a fridge photo, researching products before you buy, and even reimagining a home renovation from a single picture (then correcting AI's "beautiful but not accurate" first draft to match real-world constraints).
π‘οΈ Protecting yourself online β spotting email/text/QR code scams in seconds, freezing your credit the right way, setting up MFA, and using AI itself to verify people, businesses, and documents before you trust them.
π» Vibe-coding in action β we took one plain-English sentence and built a full interactive data dashboard, a presentation deck, and a staff ex*****on guide from a real 1980s clinical trial dataset. No manual coding. Just conversation, iteration, and verification.
π¬ And a first look at "Double Exposure," the upcoming film from our very own Myrin New β coming to theaters in 2027.
