Backups are one of those things you only notice when something goes wrong.
In many environments, nightly database dumps get pushed to Dropbox and quietly accumulate over time. Eventually, storage fills up, and uploads start failing â usually at the worst possible moment.
To keep things under control, we built a small utility called Dropbox Cleaner that automatically removes older backups while keeping a safe minimum of recent files available.
Itâs a lightweight Bash script designed for real-world workflows and multi-server environments.
