We recently met a business owner who showed me his website — solid service, real company — but it wasn’t even showing up in the first 10 pages of Google. 😬

Spoiler: it’s usually not the business… It’s what’s missing behind the scenes.

If you’re wondering why your website isn’t ranking, we are now offering a $350 SEO Website Evaluation. We will identify what’s holding your site back and give you clear, actionable recommendations — whether you work with us, or your own developer to fix it.

Because great businesses deserve to be found.

Q: How often should I update my website?

A: The short answer: regularly. But let’s break that down: Your website isn’t just a digital business card—it’s a living representation of your brand.

Updating it regularly helps:
Show your audience you’re active – Fresh content signals credibility and professionalism.

Improve SEO – Search engines love new content, which helps your site rank higher.

Reflect changes in your business – Products, services, team members, and even brand messaging evolve. Your site should too.

Fix issues before they become problems – Outdated plugins, broken links, and slow-loading pages can hurt user experience and trust.

Rule of thumb:
1) Content updates: Weekly or monthly (blogs, case studies, events).

2) Visual and structural updates: Quarterly to annually (images, layout, navigation).

3) Technical maintenance: At least monthly (security, plugins, backups).

Think of your website like your storefront: You wouldn’t leave a dusty display for a year, so don’t let your site stagnate. A little attention now keeps your digital presence strong and trusted.

Q: Why does the quality of the images on my website matter?

A: Because first impressions matter.

A blurry, poorly lit, or non-professional photo can make your business feel… well, amateur—even if your services are top-notch.

Your website isn’t just a place to show what you do; it’s a reflection of who you are.

Professional-quality images convey credibility, trust, and attention to detail.

For example, financial institutions handle people’s money and trust. A website with low-quality images subconsciously signals “we don’t invest in ourselves”—and that can make clients question whether you’re the right choice.

Investing in a professional photographer isn’t just an aesthetic upgrade; it’s a smart business move.

Remember: your website images are like your handshake online—make it strong, confident, and professional.

And if you live in the Chicago area, consider reaching out to “Spider” Meka Hemmons or Lisa Sciascia - two really superb options!
