​Courtney Horton, the Creative Director of Renov8 Imaging has been working as a graphic designer since 2007. His background includes freelance, contracted and retainer graphic design experience, with a history of print, interactive and digital design projects to acclaimed completion. With over a decade of experience in design and communication and a client

list that includes such names as Bishop Horace E. Smith, of Apostolic Faith Church, Stellar Award and Grammy nominated artist Deitrick Haddon and Page Turner, real estate mogul and co-host of HGTV’s Flip or Flop Nashville, Renov8 Imaging is an emerging leader in the field of Graphic Design & Marketing in Chicago. On top of working hard to expand his company, Courtney is also a loving husband and father of two. His eye for design comes from having a foundation in the arts stemming from his parents and grandparents who were all artists. He started formal design training at a late age and as a husband and father, he would have to take classes to complete his degree when he could but what he wasn't taught in a formal classroom setting he made up for with trial and error, a great design community of friends and YouTube University, (lol). He loves what he does and his passion for design will ensure that he stays on top of the learning curve and current trends as well as enhancing his own personal design style. Y’all don’t know this, but I’ve been doing music for a long time. For a while I believed I should be a lot further along than I am. My music has been heard by great names, I’ve worked with great names and I’m known by some great names. But still, I sat in the shadows waiting for my turn. I’m not saying I’ve made it because what I thought I wanted I don’t have, yet. But what I have is more than what I wanted. Way more. My salvation, my Lord Jesus Christ…my wife Rachel, my kids Josh and Faith…my family and friends…I’m already rich. This music isn’t going to make me any more wealthy than I am. It’ll just allow me to do more for the people I love.
Getting this placement feels like the beginning of something tho. I feel the excitement to create more…and I’m ready to see what God is going to do with it. I’m going to start posting more music on this page along with my graphics and eventually start a page for my production company Webster Ave Music, but this isn’t a plug for that.
This is a post to tell you that whatever you’re doing, that doesn’t seem like it’s doing anything, keep doing it. Whatever your dreams are keep reaching for them. Push until something happens. This world is designed to take as much as it can from you. You can only get by working aggressively to take it back.
So get out there, play your song, write your book, start your business, but go as hard as you can. Despise not the day of small beginnings. It’s gonna happen.
