Inexistence.org

Inexistence.org Web Hosting, Web Design, ISP related features and functions. We at Inexistence.org strive to make your projects become exactly what you envision.

Inexistence.org was founded on April 16 2002, by two men who were tired of letting other people and companies control their voices and content. We have spent a lot of time making the server a enjoyable and powerful experience for all of our users and friends. We believe in standard compliancy and WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get). Every site we manage we attempt to assist the maintainers on u

sing the best coding practices. At times we will even do maintenance coding and audits for free or a very reduced cost. Thanks to our dedicated adminstration and development teams we usually have an exceptional uptime. Our standard response rate for client issues is also less than 24 hours. Our server is on a dedicated business class connection and happens to be in our main administrator’s house so hands on repair is never an issue.

Distro Upgrade complete, all main services are up and running. We will be doing more work later on as well. More info will be posted as we go. Main admin is tired and wants to go to bed now. Wish him pleasant dreams!

We are currently doing a distro upgrade, please excuse the dust while it is underway. If your site goes down or one of our services stops working trust that we are working on it and operations will resume as soon as possible.

We are currently in the process of doing a huge data migration to our new server.

To all our users:
Expect a phone call or email in the coming days/weeks from us as we need to discuss the migration and what to expect in the future.

(It is looking bright!)

Power Outage followed by backbone outage today. Services have been restored... We will be taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again as soon as we can. Over the coming month we will be transitioning to a co-location type service providing more internet connection backbones and power recovery options (generators / battery backups).

The postmortem explaining service disruptions has been posted by CloudFlare. This took down pretty much all of our hosted sites, thankfully they had their services back up in less than an hour.

Welcome to the CloudFlare blog. CloudFlare provides performance and security for any website. Hundreds of thousands of websites use CloudFlare. To learn more, please visit our website.

Just a note to all hosted WordPress site owners you are safe from this as we know how to configure things properly. Directory indexes are not allowed and dbcaches are done with APC (not disk mode which is exploitable). Any sites we help manage this will also not apply to as dbcache is disabled on most third party servers due to bugs with their hosting.

chicksdaddy writes in with a warning about a popular Wordpress plugin. "A security researcher is warning WordPress users that a popular plugin may leave sensitive information from their blog accessible from the public Internet with little more than a Google search. The researcher, Jason A. Donenfeld...
