I had an interesting case once, where a client told me that all their email disappeared, and they were not receiving any new email. They used the Thunderbird email app that was setup to work with their Google email address. I sent a test email to them, and it never showed up. So I logged into their google email directly through the web browser, and sent another test email. It showed up there in the web browser Gmail, but soon disappeared. Now this client was not the most tech savvy, but I decided to check the Thunderbird filters/rules anyways. I found a rule that stated if any email comes to their email address, delete it immediately! WOW, not sure how that rule was created. I removed the rule and everything functioned as expected again. Seems that sometimes as a computer technician, you need to check even the unlikely!
