My first post for the company, inspired by over 30 minutes of being on the phone with Register.com and Earthlink: When you obtain a domain name, always make sure it is actually registered to your name, address, phone and e-mail, and not to the person setting up and/or hosting your site. If 10 years later that person is no longer findable, it is a major pain to get control of it back!
