One of my favorite things about small communities is seeing what can happen when local talents and businesses come together.

I recently had the opportunity to work with the Robert Henri Museum & Art Gallery on several projects, from initial ideas and design to finished print. Thanks to the new Prairie Paperie , the printing could happen right here in our community, too!

Together, we created:
• Rack cards for I-80 visitors
• Membership cards
• An accordion-fold informational pamphlet

It’s pretty special when an idea can go from design to finished product all right here in our local community!

Some opportunities are especially meaningful because of the people who came before you.

This year, I was honored to be asked to help fill a big hole in our community after the passing of a dear lady, incredible journalist, and passionate agriculture advocate, Barb Batie.

For more than 20 years, Barb wrote and created the Farm Family of the Year presentation and slideshow for the Cozad Chamber Ag Committee’s annual award. She had a special gift for telling the stories of local families, capturing their dedication, history, and the heart behind their operation. Following in her footsteps was both a privilege and a responsibility I did not take lightly.

It was my honor to step into this role and help share the story of this year’s Farm Family of the Year, Dan and Cindy Finnegan. Their story is one of hard work, perseverance, family, and a deep love for the land and agriculture.

Congratulations to Dan and Cindy on this well-deserved honor!

And thank you to the Cozad Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee for trusting me with this project. I am grateful for the opportunity to help continue a tradition that celebrates the incredible agricultural families who make our community so special.

Over the past year, thousands of hours have gone into planning, organizing, fundraising and preparing for the Cattlemen's Ball of Nebraska, Inc. and to see it all become a reality the last couple days was something special.

Country Roads Creative Solutions was honored to be a part of it. We had the opportunity to design many of the printed materials used throughout the event, including program books, vinyl banners, menus, tabletop information cards, slideshow presentations, t-shirts and many other pieces along the way.

One of the things that stood out most was seeing so many people from so many different communities come together and share their talents for a greater cause.

It's a great reminder of what can be accomplished when people work together. We are grateful to have been a small part of something that made such a big impact.

We’re honored to be part of this year’s Cattlemen's Ball and excited to help bring the event to life through the printed marketing materials, including the official program book that headed to the printer this week!

From ads and layouts to the final production files, it’s been incredible to help showcase the activities, people, sponsors, and mission behind this amazing event.

We can’t wait to see everything come together for such a meaningful cause and share it all with you in less than a month.

There’s something special about opening the mailbox and seeing projects we’ve poured our time and creativity into come to life in print. It’s even more rewarding when those efforts are recognized.

We’re proud to share that the Harvest special section we helped write for the Cozad Local earned First Place at the Nebraska Press Association Convention this past week!

And as a bonus, tucked inside this week’s paper was another publication we’re honored to support, the CornsTalk. While we don’t write the articles for this one, we assist with reviewing and editing for the Nebraska Corn Board’s publication.

Moments like these remind us why we love what we do; helping bring stories, ideas, and communities together through great design and thoughtful collaboration.
