End-of-Day Drawdown Is Not Intraday Drawdown
The rule that decides a futures prop firm evaluation is rarely the target. It is when the drawdown is measured.
On the PropTime USA Funded Futures plans the Max Loss is 5%, and it trails on end-of-day balance. Not on your intraday high, and not tick by tick. An open gain at 2pm does not move your floor. The balance you finish the session with does.
That difference decides how you can trade the middle of a session. Under intraday trailing, an unrealised spike tightens your floor before you have banked anything. Under end-of-day trailing, the floor moves once, after the close, on realised balance. It is still a trailing model, it still follows you up, and it never comes back down, but it moves on your terms rather than on a wick.
The rest of the structure, in full: four phases, each starting fresh at your plan size, each asking for a 9% Equity Growth Target, a consistency ratio at or below 25%, and the 5% Max Loss. Sixty days per phase. Inactivity is 14 days in the phases and tightens to 7 once live.
Contract limits do not scale evenly: 1 standard / 15 micro at $25,000, then 1:10 from $50,000 up, 3/30, 6/60, 9/90.
The live stage carries no target, no consistency rule and no time limit, a static max loss at 50% of the live account size, and Account Gains of 90%. Platforms: Rithmic, DXFutures and Volumetrica, at the same price on all three.
