TSMC, the leader in making chips with smaller circuits, is celebrating the start of mass production using its 3-nanometer process technology.

And the leader has lofty goals:
In 2024, they are scheduled to mass produce the N3E process, which is based on 3nm technology but will produce more efficient chips with a higher yield.

In 2025, the company plans to start mass production@ of the 2nm process technology in Taiwan.

And 2026 starts the production of 3nm process technology in Arizona.

The plant checks off all the best practices for manufacturing digitization: streamlined and fully integrated manufacturing processes, AI-powered performance prediction for appliances, superb connectivity, focus on worker safety through the integration of a human-robot workforce, and adoption of sustainable practices.
