Some projects deserve a little extra attention—and this one is no exception.

Inspired by the legendary John Wayne, this custom challenge coin was designed for the U.S. Marshals Southern District of Iowa and captures the timeless values of courage, honor, and unwavering commitment. Featuring Wayne’s iconic quote, “Courage is being scared to death… and saddling up anyway,” this coin serves as a lasting tribute to those who answer the call to serve.

What makes this project even more special is the artistry behind it. Every detail was developed by one of our talented in-house artists, using professional design tools while relying on years of experience, creativity, and craftsmanship. While many companies now depend on AI to generate finished artwork, we believe custom products deserve the vision, skill, and personal attention that only a real artist can provide. Technology can be a valuable tool, but it should never replace the artist behind the design.

We recently had the opportunity to work with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois on updating their badges and shoulder patches.

They wanted something simple, timeless, and elegant—and together we created a striking black and gold design featuring the courthouse at the center of the shoulder patch, surrounded by the new six-pointed star.

Recently, our design team had the privilege of working with the U.S. Marshals Service Northern District of Iowa to bring their vision to life. After careful attention to detail, this beautiful coin was created. It highlights Iowa’s rich farming heritage, incorporates elements inspired by John Deere, and features the state flower, state bird, and the famous ANF—along with many other subtle details—making this piece truly unique and meaningful.
