The Canton Fair has come to an end, and I’ve been thinking about all the conversations we had there.
The question we heard most often was:
➡️“What makes an ePaper device different from a phone or tablet? If the price is similar, why not just buy a tablet?”
That’s a fair question.
➡️The simple answer is that an ePaper device isn’t designed to replace your phone or tablet. It offers a different experience for reading, writing, and focused work.
Phones and tablets are great for entertainment, social media, and videos. An E Ink screen, however, reflects ambient light much like real paper instead of relying on a bright screen shining toward your eyes. This creates a calmer, more natural viewing experience.
Building an ePaper device isn’t simply about offering fewer features. We work hard to keep the paper-like experience while adding practical tools for everyday use:
✍️ Taking notes
📝 Reading and annotating documents
📧 Sending and receiving emails
📂 Transferring and managing files
🖥️ Sharing your screen
📚 Reading eBooks
An ePaper device may not be for everyone—and it doesn’t need to replace every device you own.
But if you spend hours reading, writing, or working with documents and want a more focused, paper-like experience, it’s worth a closer look.
Of course, no device can replace healthy screen habits. The choice is always yours. We’re simply here to offer another way to read, write, and work.
