Quick question for business owners in Denton.

When was the last time someone actually looked at how your business data is protected? Not the policy in the handbook. The real setup. The actual workflows!

Most businesses we talk to fall into three groups. Those who have looked recently and know exactly where they stand. Those who suspect there are gaps and haven't gotten to it. Those who assume they're covered because nothing has gone wrong yet.

The second and third groups are where incidents happen.

If you're not sure which group your business fits into, let's talk!

For many businesses in Denton, we function as the IT department, not the vendor they call when something breaks. That perspective is how we know two things: the risk is real, and the fix is usually within reach.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. According to state health data, approximately one in five Texas adults experienced some form of mental illness in the past year. Yet over a quarter of Texans report being unable to access the mental health counseling or treatment they need.

We work in an industry that moves fast, demands a lot, and doesn't always leave room to talk about the harder stuff. But the people behind the screens matter more than any project or deadline. In our digital world, it is more important than ever to reach out to friends, family, and community. Nobody should suffer in silence.

We are proud to be a sponsor of the Denton County LOSS Team's 2026 Music and Arts Festival. LOSS (Local Outreach to Su***de Survivors) exists so that no one in our community has to grieve the loss of a loved one to su***de alone. Come by Harvest House and check it out this Saturday (16th) from 12PM to 6PM.

We are proud to be a sponsor of the 2026 Denton County LOSS Team Music and Arts Festival happening right here in our community.

The LOSS Team does something that matters deeply: they show up for people in Denton County who have lost a loved one to su***de and make sure no one has to carry that grief alone. This festival is how they keep that work going.

It's on May 16th from 12pm to 6pm at Harvest House in downtown Denton. Live music, local artists, and a cause that deserves every bit of support we can give it. Tickets are just $10, and kids under 12 (or students) get in free.

If you're in the area, come out. If you can't make it, consider grabbing a ticket anyway. Every dollar goes directly toward supporting survivors in our community.

It started with a router no one thought about. Tucked in a server room, humming quietly, was a firewall that hadn't received a security update in a couple years. It wasn't flagged to be replaced. It wasn't remembered at all! What once was a layer of protection had become a security window to sneak through.

This is the story playing out across small businss networks everywhere. It's exactly why CISA just stepped in to issue a federal directive requiring agencies to hunt down and remove every network edge device that manufacturers no longer support.

Routers. Firewalls. Network switches. These are the unsung guardians of your business infrastructure, which when left outdated, can become your greatest liability.

At NTPC Tech, we believe the best time to address a vulnerability is before it's exploited. Is your organization's equipment still supported? Let's chat!

A small business owner we know put off upgrading from Windows 10 for months. Not because he didn't care; he was just busy. It didn't feel urgent.

It felt urgent in February when ransomware locked every machine in his office. The attackers had exploited a Windows 10 vulnerability that Microsoft stopped patching back in October 2025. His systems never stood a chance.

Two weeks offline. Thousands in recovery costs. And customers who didn't come back.

The upgrade would have taken a weekend.

Windows 10 is no longer supported. Every day it stays in your environment is a day you're running without a safety net. We help businesses get ahead of exactly this kind of risk before it turns into a crisis.

Don't be the cautionary tale. Reach out and let's chat.

According to VikingCloud's 2026 Threat Landscape Report, cyberattacks on small business owners just became the #1 business risk. Bigger than inflation. Bigger than a recession. Here's why it matters to YOU:

A $100K breach could permanently close 40% of small businesses
AI is making phishing, ransomware, deepfakes & malware faster and harder to spot
Most owners are handling IT security alone (and burning out)

You didn't start your business to become an IT or cybersecurity expert. That's what we're here for. At NTPC Tech, we help small businesses stay protected and connected without the headache. Reach out today.

This week we’re celebrating something special – Bailey’s 5-year anniversary with NTPC.

Five years ago, we were in a very different place as a company. Smaller team. Fewer systems. A lot of things to figure out, and Bailey has grown with us every step of the way.

If you don't know, Bailey is our Director of Service and leads our Onsite Department. He has become known for his reliability, leadership, trustworthiness, and attention to detail. Our clients feel it. The team feels it. And we feel it as owners.

What makes Bailey stand out isn’t just experience. It’s the standard he holds himself to and what he gives back to the community.

He cares about the details.
He cares about the outcome.
He cares about doing things the right way.

And when he's not working, he's coaching Denton's Youth Football teams – showing young men what accountability looks like, and spending time with his daughters, who are his world.

Leaders like Bailey are the reason we’ve been able to grow from a small operation into a full-service Technology Partner, serving 100+ locations and businesses across North Texas.

Five years is rare in our industry, and it matters.

Bailey, we are so grateful for you and excited about what the next chapter holds.

Microsoft's services are currently experiencing issues with emails, Teams, and other apps.

We just sent an email to all clients, but in case the email doesn't come through, we're posting here.

If you’re having trouble with email, Teams, or logging into 365, you can check Microsoft’s live status here:

What to know:
• This is not a local network or device issue
• Troubleshooting on your end likely won’t fix it
• Microsoft is actively working on restoration

We’re monitoring the situation closely and will share updates if services are not restored. We know outages like this are frustrating, and we appreciate your patience.
