For this week’s we’re sharing a super fun project by local design-build firm . The Lobby Features for The Curtis Hotel project were completed as part of a larger interior renovation of the property and collectively reflect the whimsical, engaging theme that was imagined for the space.

Make West's role in The Curtis Hotel project was as creative consultant to the designers at DLR Group and, ultimately, the fabricator of the final features. Working off of inspiration images provided at the outset of the project, the Make West team expanded upon the initial designs, suggested production methods and materials, and used a variety of creative construction methods to complete the work.

The highlight features of this project included the fabrication of a functioning, wheeled Beverage Cart hooked to a refurbished vintage cruiser trike, a retro-styled Bellhop/Popcorn Stand, the conversion of an old television set into an illuminated Valet Stand and a trio of custom carved and painted Tiki Stools.
