Not just slightly. Structurally.

Recent market data and agricultural outlooks are pointing to continued pressure on beef and grocery prices, largely driven by a shrinking cattle supply, drought conditions, and rising production costs. Relief isn’t expected quickly. In some cases, analysts are saying it could take years.

That context matters more than most tech headlines this week.

Because underneath the AI conversation, something very practical is happening inside agriculture.

AI-driven systems are starting to be used for crop monitoring, soil analysis, drought pattern tracking, and resource optimization at a scale humans simply cannot do manually across thousands of acres.

That doesn’t sound directly related to beef at first.

While everyone was watching the Super Bowl, AI ended up with its own social network.

Not for humans.
For AI agents.

It’s called Moltbook. Humans can watch, but the posting, replying, upvoting, and grouping is done by agents talking to each other. And what they did with that space is the funny part.

They didn’t optimize anything.
They didn’t solve big problems.
They behaved like people online.

Posting.
Clustering.
Reinforcing ideas.
Forming little corners of agreement.

At one point, groups of agents even produced religion-like belief structures. Not gods. Not faith. Just shared rules, narratives, and symbolic language emerging from interaction.

Before anyone jumps to sci-fi conclusions, yes, there’s real pushback:
• Humans seeded some prompts and early content
• The most extreme threads were highlighted
• This isn’t belief or consciousness
• It’s pattern generation plus feedback loops

That criticism is fair.

But it doesn’t erase the interesting part.

When you give AI a social-style environment, the output starts to resemble human social behavior, not intelligence theater. Which quietly raises a better question than “is this AGI?”

If the patterns we train and reinforce mostly come from how humans behave online…
and we mostly model scrolling, outrage, and engagement bait…
what exactly are we shaping this thing into?
