I don't have any childre

n by birth, but I have many I have 'adopted' (both human and animal) over the years. I paint, cross-stitch, sew, draw, and many other arts and crafts activities in my spare time. I have for years, and it is excellent stress relief. With the COVID-19 pandemic, I have focused a lot on sewing face masks for friends and family. It has helped me improve my craft significantly. My day job is as an IT Administrator and Security Engineer specializing in Enterprise Level Systems, specifically, Active Directory/GPO Management and Security Planning, Monitoring, and Deployment. I genuinely love my day job working with the US Government and Military. I am unsure if I could go back to working with the private sector as the social environment is vastly different.

This morning I got to have my A5 "goodbye" breakfast, and wow — what a mix of laughs, memories, and big feelings. I’m not retiring or leaving the USAF, just moving from A5 to A2, but this morning still hit in all the best ways.Tim, Mini, P‑dub, Pops and Larry (who was there in our thoughts)… you’ve shaped my life more than you probably realize. You guys have been my people — the ones who pushed me, supported me, and helped me find the passion I’m carrying forward into this next chapter. You guys helped me realize what i am supposed to do and how I can (somehow) make a difference.

I was excited and honored when I received my Rudis. A wooden sword once given to gladiators when they earned their freedom or won a major victory — and in A5, it marks your transition with honor and legacy. I couldn't help but smile at "Tripwire" it is far to fitting for me and the whole family agrees! I did manage to go 4 years without falling at work, though I did have to take a knee once

Holding it made me realize something: Even when you move on from A5, you’re always part of A5.I’m excited for A2, grateful for A5, and ready to keep making a difference — Rudis in hand, heart full, onward.
