An external hard drive, some kind of cloud backup (Google drive, OneDrive, iCloud), even a USB drive is better than nothing! If you have an old computer or laptop lying around the house not being used, it makes the perfect DIY cloud storage device.

💡 Pro Tip from the AKL Team: Restarting your router is still the IT version of “have you tried turning it off and on again?” — and it works more often than you’d think! Routers make millions of little decisions every day and sometimes it'll screw a couple up and just like that your network is having issues.

Now you can download an app, scan a provided QR code, and we can view your phone screen with you in real time to assist with any problems you may have! The number one complaint that I see and hear from people about their PCs is it's running slow and not responding.

If your PC is 8+ years old, it might be a hardware issue. A little bit more memory or a new SSD could potentially fix your problems. That being said, Windows as a whole is the problem.

If you just use your PC for light office work, browsing the internet, watching videos or sending emails, I urge you to give Linux a try. Linux Mint is one of the most accessible operating systems for people switching away from Windows. As with anything new, there is a little bit of a learning curve get used to it but I promise you can breathe new life into a PC that runs like crap with Windows on it.

Get a battery backup! We ourselves have been using one to keep our servers running smoothly, without interruptions even during the harshest weather! 🌨️

We recommend getting one for yourselves to protect your equipment! Sudden power surges can fry your hardware or lead to data loss. 💥
