First: remove any confidential patient, employee, or financial details. Then copy and paste this:
"Summarize the key points of this document in plain English. Flag anything I should pay close attention to, anything unusual, or anything that requires a decision from me."

This doesn't replace a professional review on anything high stakes. It tells you what deserves one.

The end of summer is the last quiet moment most practices get before the run to year end. 🍂

Worth spending 15 minutes of it on this:
✅ Review your priorities. What did you say in January that you have not touched since?
✅ Look at your tech spend. Not just the monthly invoice, the whole picture including the things billed separately.
✅ Prepare your team. Security training, offboarding, who has access to what.
✅ Clear the small stuff. The workstation everyone works around. The printer nobody can fix. The password three people share.

None of these are urgent, which is exactly why they are still on the list in December.

One weak password is all it takes. 🔒

Here's a 2-minute cybersecurity check you can do today: make sure multi-factor authentication (MFA) is turned on for your email, EHR/practice management system, and any tool that stores patient data.

Why it matters: MFA blocks the vast majority of account takeover attempts, even if a password gets stolen or phished. It's one of the simplest, lowest-cost ways to reduce your risk of a breach. 🛡️

Build the system once. Copy and paste this:
"I own a [type of practice]. Write three short, friendly email templates I can use for follow-ups: 1. After a patient's first appointment or procedure. 2. Following up on a treatment plan that hasn't gotten a response after one week. 3. After a completed procedure, asking for feedback. Keep each one under 5 sentences. Tone should be [warm and personal / professional / casual]."
