The house was a bit loud this morning. I love my family, but this is one of those work days I really need the quiet to get through work this morning. Came to one of my favorite spots to work outside of home getting some coffee and work done.

This website project hits a little different.

I’m sponsoring the website for Stronger Together Because You Matter, a nonprofit focused on su***de awareness and support.

I won’t get into every detail, but this is something that has been close to my life, so being able to help them get their message out means a lot.

Sometimes building websites is more than just design and code.

Sometimes it’s helping the right people find hope when they need it.

I haven’t been as active on here the past couple weeks.

Life got a little heavy, work got busy, personal stuff needed attention, and honestly social media just wasn’t at the top of the list.

But that’s real life.

Building GhostStack, taking care of responsibilities, trying to stay creative, trying to keep things moving, it all adds up sometimes.

I’m learning that consistency doesn’t always mean never missing a beat.

Sometimes it means getting back to it when you can.

So that’s where I’m at.

Still building.
Still learning.
Still trying to create something real for small businesses that deserve better online.

Trying to build a life you actually want takes more patience than I ever expected.

Most of it doesn’t look glamorous.
It looks like early mornings, coffee, long days, late nights, and continuing anyway.

Trying to build GhostStack has taught me that most things worth building are confusing for a while.

Websites.
Businesses.
Even Volkswagens apparently.

Some days it feels like nothing is working.
Then one small thing clicks and suddenly you’re moving again.

Not work related, but I look forward to this show every year! I missed last year, but this is the first year my family goes with me and I'm extremely excited for us all to go and enjoy the cars and being outside!!

spent yesterday with family after Carla’s mom got back from El Salvador, but still had the laptop open working in between everything going on

that is honestly the reality of trying to build something from the ground up

there is no perfect setup, perfect timing, or perfect schedule most days

you just keep showing up and keep moving forward little by little

also had a really good conversation this week with another business owner about social media and learning how platforms like Facebook actually work instead of just throwing random posts out there and hoping for the best

one thing that really stuck with me was consistency matters way more than perfection

same thing with business honestly

most people are not looking for perfection, they are looking for someone real, reliable, and willing to keep showing up

that is what I am trying to build with GhostStack Designs

just taking it one step at a time and continuing to grow

Most small businesses do not need a $10,000 website.

But they also should not be using a broken page as their entire online presence.

The biggest thing I see right now is businesses losing customers because:

their website looks outdated
it does not work well on mobile
there is no clear call-to-action
or they do not have a website at all

A clean, modern website builds trust fast.

Especially for local businesses.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the web design industry.

Honestly, it’s become extremely saturated.

There are people selling $100 AI-generated websites everywhere now, and from the outside looking in, it can make you question if putting years into learning development, design, branding, UX, SEO, and business strategy even matters anymore.

But the more I think about it, the more I realize something:

Small businesses don’t just need “a website.”

They need someone reliable in their corner.

Someone who answers the phone.
Someone who actually cares about their business.
Someone who can grow with them long term.
Someone who understands that their website should help build trust and bring in customers, not just exist online.

That’s what I want GhostStack Designs to be.

Not a churn-and-burn AI website factory.
Not another agency throwing templates at people.

I want to build real relationships with small businesses and create websites that actually represent the hard work they put into what they do.

The truth is, AI can generate layouts.

But it can’t replace:
• trust
• communication
• strategy
• local relationships
• long-term support
• understanding people

And honestly, I think that matters now more than ever.

To everyone building something right now, especially small business owners:
Keep going. The people who genuinely care about quality and relationships will always stand out in the long run.

solid start to the week

got to meet up with a new client today and talk through plans for her skincare brand and t shirt website.

she was recently featured on 90 day fiancé so it is a pretty cool project to be a part of

always enjoy these kinds of projects where we can build something from the ground up and actually make it fit the business

this is the part people do not see

the conversations, the planning, figuring out what will actually work before anything ever goes live
