"Young alleged the county could see as much as $200 million a year in revenue, a number supported by Kelly Schulz, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council. That’s 17.5% of the county’s current budget. A 2023 study by Sage Policy Group shows QF alone could generate $41 million for the county per year."

"The long-term steady paycheck means our young members have the chance to buy their first home and cement their lives in Maryland. Parents no longer have to work double shifts or spend the night in neighboring states away from their families. Because of data center work in Frederick, they are home for dinner with their kids.

Contrary to claims from opponents, these are long-term, multiyear jobs. Our members typically spend up to five years performing both construction and scheduled maintenance work for each data center."

Happy Earth Day!🌎

Rowan and our construction partners spent the day picking up trash and cleaning the roadways along Adamstown Road, Mountville Road, Manor Woods Road, Ballenger Creek, and New Design Road.

On the construction site, every day is Earth Day. We're continuing to raise the bar for sustainability in digital infrastructure: Compared to industry baselines, our Bauxite 1 facility achieved a 23% reduction in embodied carbon and a 17% increase in energy efficiency. 28 acres of trees were planted or permanently preserved, 75% of construction waste was recycled, and so much more.
