Pinellas County and Temple Terrace Trails Updates:

Last Tuesday Temple Terrace City Council voted unanimously for us to move forward with the final proposal we submitted. Temple Terrace is getting a small, family friendly, fun off road cycling option, along with expanded river front hiking experience. The funding for this is being made possible by our partnership with REI Co-op. We will be needing volunteers to work alongside Natural Trail Building LLC to activate the space. Be ready to lend a hand when we announce it.

We have just submitted conceptual plans, drafted by Natural Trail Building LLC, to Pinellas County for the new property we have been asked to activate. We can provide a little more information on this. It will still be mid county, about 20 acres, blank slate, literally flat, which means a lot of possibilities. The county will be working in conjunction with us, to replant and activate trails. This means that in several years there will be a developing canopy! It will be family friendly, super fun, optimized for biking, kid's area, and so on. While we have not been given permission just yet to release the exact location, we can say with confidence that this will be an amazing option for the community of riders that live in that area. Stay tuned for more details as we are able to share them. The funding for this project has come from REI and amazing members of our community who have donated!
