Kb3hha Software This is the home page for KB3HHA's software applications. I created this page to let people know about the software applications I have created.

Look here for information regarding ICOM 7300 Memory Manager, Set7300Clock, KB3HHA Screen Saver, CI-V Scout, and several others. Several of then are geared towards HAM radio and the ICOM IC-7300. They all started out as utility programs that I had a need for or found to be useful. I learned that there was a demand for some of these utilities and that people found them useful. I am giving away most

I released a new version of the KB3HHA screen saver on 17-Apr-2025. This version corrects the satellite image type not being saved in the configuration, sets a default limit for the number of satellite images to download (prior default was unlimited), and changes the source of the satellite images as the prior source appears to have stopped updating.

Just released a bug fix to CI-V Scout. The program was not displaying transceive messages to any address other than 0x00. I recently learned that the ICOM IC-PW2 sends transceive messages to both 0x00 and 0x01. Thanks go to Patrick AC1I for reporting this bug. A number of years back I wrote a Mandelbrot set application. I had long since forgotten about it and lost the original C++ source code. Just for grins, I decided to rewrite it from scratch in C #. There are probably many more capable Mandelbrot applications on the web. I just released updated versions of the memory manager application (both lite and professional). Both versions no longer permit selecting invalid combinations of operating mode and data mode. I have also revised the error handling code to permit moving from cell to cell even if there are errors in that row. The professional version also gets a new dialog for editing the band stacking registers, as well as some fixes to the print preview function. As always, both version are available at https://kb3hha.com/MemoryManager . Everybody who owns the professional version is entitled to this update.

I released this command line utility a while back but didn't think to announce it here. I use HRD Logbook for all of my contact logging and QSL tracking. One of its' many features is the ability to automatically back up your log "just in case". Over time these backups will continue to grow in number. This requires me to occasionally manually prune the older backups. To assist in this pruning task, I wrote LogbookBackupCleaner. It accepts command line parameters that specify when to age out older backups and how many to keep. It works on folder backups as well as zip files containing backups. I just released a new executable version of set-7300clock. This version was updated to use the CI-V communication library that I also use with ICOM 7300 Memory Manger. The prior version of set-7300clock was more of an example and didn't include robust error checking. This new version adds options to set the clock immediately, suppress messages, specify a read timeout, and specify a non-default CI-V address. In addition to the 7300, it also works with the 705, 7610, and 9700. You can find it at https://kb3hha.com/Set7300Clock on my web site.
