Local amateur radio supported the 2026 4-H Fair Parade with a dozen radio operators plus a Net Control station. Amateurs were located at key intersections, railroad crossings, and at the grandstand to provide communications for both the parade and the 5K Road Run. The radio communication network was formed from members of the Goshen Amateur Radio club and other volunteers from Elkhart County operating as an Amateur Radio Emergency Services team.

2026 FEILD DAY
About a dozen amateurs from the Goshen Amateur Radio Club operated the ARRL 2026 Field Day last weekend. Operating under the callsign N9HZ, the group made 667 contacts and accumulated 1254 points as a 5-Alpha site.
