Selling custom apparel online usually means hitting the WooCommerce "Variation Wall." Offer a single t-shirt in 50 colors and 8 sizes, and the platform forces you to generate 400 variations. Multiply that across a catalog, and database bloat causes dead page speeds and backend crashes.

​Add "Extended Size Upcharges" (like +$2 for 2XL), and standard e-commerce math breaks. A single quantity box can't calculate varying upcharges, forcing customers to painfully add sizes to their cart one by one creating a UX nightmare.

​I searched everywhere for a solution. Plugins, subscriptions, open-source code. It simply didn’t exist.

​At Melting Ink Creative, I don't settle for "it can't be done." I engineered a 100% proprietary Split-Quantity Pricing Grid template that delivers a full size-run interface without creating a single WooCommerce size attribute.

1) ​Injects a clean, multi-size input row on the product page.
2) ​Calculates base garment costs and extended-size upcharges in real-time.
3) ​Separates custom add-ons (like print options and placements) near the total for 100% pricing transparency.

​In the cart, the system divides the final cost by the total quantity—merging standard and extended sizes into one clean line item with a transparent average cost per shirt including all add-ons.
