We’ve known for months now that Microsoft was working on a new browser currently named Project Spartan for Windows 10, but it always appeared as though the company planned to keep Internet Explorer front and center.

The Hickory Ridge High School Marching Band is having a Bar-B-Que on Saturday, November 1, 2014. They will be selling Chicken OR Pork Bar-B-Que from Texas Roadhouse’s Mobile Kitchen. You have a choice of: 1. A pound only of meat, 2. Pork Plate with corn, slaw, roll, chips, tea 3. Chicken Plate with corn, slaw, roll, chips, tea. The tickets are $10.00 each. Moriah needs to sell a minimum of 5 tickets. If you have a craving, please let us know! We can arrange delivery for FREE or you can pick it up at the school between 1 am to 7 pm, Nov 1st. This fundraiser is to support a Troop 173 Eagle Scout Project and the band’s London Fund…yes 2016 London New Year’s Day Parade. Tell them MORIAH HEFFNER SENT YOU!!

HARRISBURG, N.C. – Marching band members at Hickory Ridge High School were invited on Monday to participate in an event that involves about 8,500 people from about 20 countries and is watched by almost 300 million people around the world on television.

The Harrisburg ARTwalk was a huge success Saturday. Can't wait for the next one that is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. Over $1,000.00 has been raised for a HRHS student scholarship. Here are the photos I captured while volunteering.

What an impressive turn out for Billy Romeo’s Eagle Scout Service Project Groundbreaking Ceremony! Hickory Ridge High School’s Marching Band Observation Tower will be a new landmark on Friday night games and especially at band practice during the week! He is working to raise additional funds needed to finish the Observation Tower. Michelle Cline, Principal, Members of the Board of Education, and Harrisburg Town Officials assisted Billy with the groundbreaking ceremony.
