The Wolpertinger

The Wolpertinger is a creature that stems from German folklore and the creative storytelling of Bavarian taxidermists. It is known to have many different forms, but the most common is the face and body of a hare, with wings of a pheasant, horns of a deer, and fangs. This is my own little interpretation of this mystical creature.

It is said to only show itself to a beautiful young maiden on the night of a full moon, and only within the secluded parts of the Bavarian forest if brought there by the “right” man. (A little creepy on all counts of you ask me...)

But it is also said to bring a bit of luck to those who see it, so maybe, just maybe, this piece will be a totem of luck in your own home.

My next piece up on is one of my favorites from my Witches' Familiars series, Familiar IV – The Owl.

The Owl is the fourth in my familiars series, showcasing witches’ familiars alongside botanicals that attract them. This piece features an owl surrounded by different plants that symbolize and attract them: blackberries, aster, and pine.

Had such an amazing first night at the showcase! I'm here again tonight from 8-midnight. If you're near the Reading PA area and would love to come check out me and SO many other amazing artists, the showcase is free to attend!

It's been a mini reunion of in person friends and colleagues as well as a real-life meetup of online art friends so far. A lot of friends from my are here showcasing, and other artists I've known from streaming art on are here as well. I also finally got to meet the lovely (the amazing gallery manager behind ) in person and see her amazing art in real life after talking digitally with her all year.

And the icing on the cake is making even more new friends and connections with other artists and art lovers here. I am so glad to be here for such a wonderful event and can't wait for another magical night 💖.

Jane Goodall was simply one of the most inspiring women of our time. A pioneer for women in the world of science and conservation work who fought endlessly to spread the knowledge she discovered and the importance of saving and honoring the natural world around us.

As a young girl who was enamored by science, nature, and animals, Dr. Goodall personally was someone I always admired and looked up to. As I grew older, the more I read and researched about her, the more her work continued to inspire me and influence my own actions and work.

The world is brighter and better because of this amazing woman, may her legacy live on, and may we continue to honor her by protecting this lovely, magical world we all live in.

✨️swipe to see the pattern mockup!✨️

Decided to try and hop on a couple of art challenges this month, (hosted by .nichole.illustration and ) is one that really spoke to me In terms of themes, and the first week's prompt was "Kitchen Witch".

Now I know I already have a kitchen witch cookbook cover that I illustrated, so for this prompt, I decided to try my hand at a pattern design. Patterns are not my forte, but I find them so fun to figure out. They are like little puzzles the whole time you are creating them to make sure everything lines up and repeats properly. I wish I had a little more time this week for art, but toddler mom life and my day job really kept me super busy (and a little burnt out) this week. But for the time I did have, im really happy with how it came out!

I even put it up into a mockup to see how it would look as a kitchen witch's tea towel haha.
