This is what cancer looks like in my mind.
Not a ribbon. Not a battle. Not some damn inspirational story.
It's something evil that enters a life and starts taking.
Time. Strength. Peace. Normalcy. Pieces of the people we love. Pieces of the people who love them.
And when they're gone, cancer doesn't leave empty-handed.
It took a part of my soul that belonged to my mom 💔
That's the part people don't always see.
Cancer never takes just one thing.
It leaves you counting everything it stole.
