You haven't heard from me in a bit because I have been working on recording the tutorial library for the Foundry Template that I created specifically for artists (soon to be launched).

I took over the photo table, recruited the studio cat from , propped the laptop up, and then discovered that I truly hate recording myself. I hate it and find it exhausting. Both with and without the camera on. I ramble, go down rabbit holes, and then, after I realize I am not saying what I intended to - what is on my notes (yes, I have notes in front of me) then I freeze. I blank out and am just silent. Sigh.

I made the decision that I will turn the camera off for all the purely instructional videos. This makes it a little better. I am trying to embrace my flubs because thats human and we like human. I have a Virgo moon and agonize over my imperfections.

This is what I am doing this weekend. I will get through it. I will be better for it. Thanks for the pep talk.

FYI, this is why there are no videos of me making jewelry. I know it is a great idea, but I may have a nervous breakdown.

TW AI RANT:
Recently, while on the road with I had someone mansplain website design to me. FYI, he wasn't a web designer, but he built his own with AI and said it was really easy and the design was great and the backend is perfectly built out. *eyeroll*

I spend a lot of time hearing and thinking about AI for my design company. I admit I use it occasionally for things. In fact, I probably use it more than I realize - kind of like eating sugar. My opinion is that AI takes a fair amount of work. It spits things out, but is what it spits out useable? It's hard for a lot of small businesses to have time to learn and build a working website with AI. The struggle is real.

This is why I am creating The Foundry Template for artists websites in Squarespace. It's not made by AI, its made by an artist/art consultant (Me) who understands your techno pain. I am getting ready to launch it on June 1st. Sign up on my website for a launch email and possibly a one-time coupon.

I am lucky that making jewelry does not involve AI. Do you get a headache thinking about AI? How do you decompress?

Still tweaking my Squarespace template made just for artists. Just redid all the graphics, because...well that's what I do. You can view the demos on my website. This template includes all the pages and will have a video tutorial library that goes with it.
