Audit any page on your website in 10 minutes. Just answer these 5 questions. ⏱️

Pull up your homepage or the page that brings in the most leads, and be honest:

1️⃣ Is the purpose clear? Show it to someone for 5 seconds. Can they tell what you offer and who it’s for?
2️⃣ Who wrote it? Look for names, photos, credentials, or years in business.
3️⃣ Does it show real experience? Is there anything a competitor couldn’t copy and paste?
4️⃣ Is your contact info easy to find? Can you find your phone, address, and hours in 10 seconds on your phone?
5️⃣ Would you trust it? Would you book or buy based on this page alone?

These are the same standards Google gives its human quality raters. They’re also what makes AI tools like ChatGPT more likely to recommend you, and what turns visitors into customers.

Did you know Google pays real people to grade websites? 🧐

They’re called quality raters, and they follow a public 180-page rulebook. They don’t change rankings directly, but their feedback helps shape the systems that do. That makes their checklist the clearest look at what Google wants to reward.

Grade your most important pages the same way:
✅ Purpose: Is it clear within seconds what the page is for?
✅ Experience: Do you show real photos, real projects, real results?
✅ Expertise: Can visitors tell who wrote it and why they’re qualified?
✅ Trust: Are contact info, reviews, and policies easy to find?
✅ Effort: Is it original, or could a competitor swap in their logo?

That last one matters more than ever. Google calls out low-effort, mass-produced content, whether a person or AI wrote it. Pages that pass are also more likely to be cited by AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews.

Does ChatGPT know your business exists? 🤔

More people are using AI tools like ChatGPT to find local businesses. But here's the catch: most AI tools can't see content that loads with JavaScript. If your services, prices, or hours show up that way, AI may not know about them.

Here's a quick test (you'll need a computer):

1️⃣ Open your website in Chrome
2️⃣ Press Ctrl+U (Cmd+Option+U on a Mac)
3️⃣ Press Ctrl+F and search for your main service or your hours

If you can't find it, AI probably can't either. Common culprits are booking widgets, review plugins, and menus uploaded as images or PDFs.

The fix is simple: put your most important info on the page as plain text.
